How long did it take for your name to show on the insolvency register? My IVA was accepted over a week ago now and still my name isnt there! :-)

Thanks Phil/Ang. I really dont think they can spell mine wrong - its very straight forward! I couldnt even beging to guess an incorrect spelling... I'll just keep checking to see when it pops up.

Im sure there must be loads of mistakes on the insolvency register in general - dont know if it matters or not but I guess it isnt your problem at the end of the day. I presume you dont get a letter or anything asking you to check?

Oh right, was it spelt wrong on the proposal document too? If that was the case, you did the right thing to contact your IP as the proposal is a legal document as stated.

Wow, that was quick Sue and Tracy.. in a way I would like it to be there then its my final confirmation the IVA is in existence! So far I just have the IP's letters to show for it.

I would strongly suggest it is upto the IP and insolvency dept to make sure the name on the register is correct. Surely it cant be the debtors problem, as you might not even know about it especially if they dont write to tell you you've been put on it.

IPs have a duty to register the IVA "forthwith". This means straight away!
