I spoke to the enforcement officer!
I was pleasantly surprised as she was very sympathetic and understanding!
So I have removed the barbed wire and water cannons!
Maybe my luck is tuning.
Debt can very quickly spiral out of hand and I'm optimistic for 2016

Many thanks!
Second creditors meeting next Thursday!
It's been a long 4 months to get here.
It's strange because when you start slipping into debt the creditors bombard you with letters to seek advice asap, and when you do the creditors are slow to cooperate!

Mercers (aka Barclaycard) were my worst nightmare. They phoned daily but thankfully we had signed up to BT broadband and got a different phone number so didn't have to worry about it. We still had the original number so I'd plug the phone back in occasionally and just clear the messages.

On the day the IVA was approved I did speak to them and tell them about it and they still had the nerve to ask for a payment - I'm sure she hadn't a clue what an IVA was!

Once the debt starts snowballing you have little chance of applying the handbrake!
Everybody is very helpful on here!

We've all been or at varying stages of an IVA, experts excluded but their knowledge is second to none. The forum is a good place to be wherever you're at and there is generally someone around to ofer advice or support when most needed.
All the best.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

The enforcement office called today but I was at work!
How long would it be before they can send the locksmith?
I have kept them totally in the picture!

Thank you.
I suspect it's scare tactics!
I'm sort of getting used to it#128513;

If the proposal has been circulated the enforcement officers usually hold off pending the outcome of the meeting. Give him a copy of the IVA documents and he can then go back to his client for further instruction. This should delay things for the week you need and hopefully this time it goes through.
