sorry to hear of you having problems. the guys are right-there are some very good experts that post on here and will be along a little later.
although you say you've paid BE have they cashed the money yet and if you're not happy could you not get a reimbursement of funds paid ?
have you had a look on www.iva.com ? i know its sounds crazy but to me it sound like youre in such a panic with your debt you're going with whoever you think can help. the iva normally is 5 years and if you feel you're getting bad service from the off then you're going to be getting the same for the next 5 years. why not ring around and speak to lots of companies-like the guys said you have got the experts on here size 5 Michael and Mel -all brilliant experts and lots of happy forum members have Iva's with them.
i cant see how a pension you don't have access to til 65 can be treated as an asset as you said the other company suggested. its different if you had a house and were able to release funds later on but asking to do that with your pension seemed weird
anyway hang fire for now. the pros are probably slightly snowed under being Xmas eve but they will be along later. please try not to fret and keep posting [:)]
Thanks flummpy dog

Apologies, it read as though your IVA had been approved.
It is unlikely that you will be able to get the money back. Some firms do charge for referring you. It is for the initial work they do.
However, there are a lot of firms who don't, some of them post on here and you can find their details under the expert link on the left hand side of the page.
With regard to pensions, I have a local government pension and this has not been taken into account at all and I am still allowed to make contributions to it.

Hi
I would stick with B/E and try to resolve the pension issue. Just be sure that any further funds taken will be returned if your IVA is not accepted, if they can't give this guarantee in writing cancel your DD and look elsewhere for help.
Regards
Do remember that the IP you choose to represent you, will do so for the next five years - so if you are having mixed feelings now do be sure that they will fairly represent your interests for the next five years. It may be tedious to change tack now, but there is no harm in seeking advice from alternative firms as well.
Well ... it's me again: had a phone call today from Euro Debt in forming me that I now have a CCJ against me from one of my creditors.
This would not have happened i believe if those dimwits from Blair Endersby got thier finger out and set up the IVA in time, been at this with them since 06/11/2009 and I still no nearer getting things sorted.
I am goin' fairly off my head here with that and now a CCJ.
I don't supposed anyone can tell me if I can take legal action against them over this.

Which firm are actually advising you now, as I am getting confused, and what is the status of your IVA application? Are you stil intending on going down this route?

I am with Blair Endersby: I have forked out £340 for a CCJ, allegedly fees to set up the IVA.
The status of my applicationis still in process as far as I know, If there is another route please tell me about it otherwise it is an IVA

I totally agree with Melanie - give another firm a call. It can't hurt and may even help you.
