Hi Shamrock, it does appear to vary between IP's but hopefully it won't be long and once all loose ends are tied up hopefully it will be in your hands. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi Shamrock,

It depends on your company and how long it takes them to complete. There is no set timeline.

Think it depends on if all your creditors have made their formal claims. If not then they have to be chased up and this can cause the delay. I was told that it can take up to 12 weeks if creditors have to be chased.

Just to add that Rosepetal's case is delayed due to the non-receipt of a final claim from HMRC which is out of my hands. The day it is received and checked will be the day that the case will be closed!

Hi Shamrock,

Congratulations on having made your last payment! It's a great feeling but must be even better still when you have the certificate
As others have said, how long it takes to tie all the ends up varies. We are still waiting for ours after 13 weeks, again, due to 2 creditors who have not yet made a final claim. A bit frustrating as our IVA company have been chasing them but as with Mel's client's case, it is all waiting on the creditors. I hope that you don't have to wait too long and that your certificate arrives soon.

Hi Mel/all,yes let's hope Liz is right & it'll be sorted this month! she has said she's chasing it for us,would appreciate it if you keep a check on how it's going too. we've no doubt you will have it posted out as soon as you've processed it Mel,thankyou.

HMR&C have been slow. we've had another letter through from Lloyds, hubby faxed it through,it looked a bit like a statement.

i saw one post from someone who had theirs the next month! it does seem to vary. i cannot wait to get off that register[V].

we made our final payment 4 weeks ago, DFD said all creditor claims were in so it shouldn't take too long but they have advised that due to backlog it could be up to 3 months..... They have been great all the way through so I have no doubt that they will get everything sorted.

Why does it take 3 months to close a case Declan? What happens if these poor souls receive a windfall in the meantime - would that be forced to be included in their IVA?
