how long is an IVA kept on record

Please can you tell me how long an IVA is kept on record for once you have paid it off.

It suggests an IVA would stay on your credit file for 6 years.

The IVA is kept on credit agency records for a period of 6 years from the date of approval.

If you satisfactorily conclude your IVA, you can contact the credit reference agencies and provide them with evidence of this with a request that it is marked as satisfied on the records. It does not bring it off the records any sooner, but it could potentially show that the IVA has been conducted and concluded satisfactorily.
