I joined , and took a lot of advice from this forum a couple of years ago. Many of you may of thought your advice fell on deaf ears as I was hell bent on getting my IVA thru as soon as possiable which did happen due to unrealistic figures, allowances and unfortunatly also due to the same reasonin it failed 9 months later.
That was March 2010 and since then I have not had a single letter, phone call, statement or text from any of my creditiors. I am not complaining please dont read that the wrong way! I am finding it rather worrying though. is this normal? and when will I start getting harrassed again?
My plan is to go bankrupt but unfortunatly I am that tight on money I cant even afford to do that.

Hi brassicedoff, sorry the IVA didn't work out for you. Unfortunatey the creditors will raise their ugly heads at some stage and myour debt would have grown considerably.
It may be an idea to try to put a bit away over the next few months so you can affors the bankruptcy if this is the way you want things to go. BR has been tightened up however. Have you not thought about trying to set up an IVA again? I have seen advice on here before about doing this and you may find that 2nd time around you can make it more realistic and if the creditors see they may get a bit more under an IVA they may go with it.
Whatever you decide I would seriously think about doing it soon - I don't think I could relax with this hanging around me.
Hi, I'm sorry to read an IVA wasn't for you and you recognise why your IVA failed so why not speak with another couple of professionals to see what way there is forward? try www.iva.com for a list and do contact 2 or 3 to ensure impartial case specific advice.
All the best x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
Thanks for the replies although I really dont know if what I have spare at the end of the month will be enough for an IVA. Is there still a minimum of £200 per week?

There is no particular minimum a month, depends upon your disposable income and which company you use.

No I think that's all changed. Me and other half pay £310 pcm between us. The original proposal was for £270 between us so I think you should go for it and talk to some professionals
