how long until they stop writing?

We filed br on 13.2.08 and had our OR meeting 20th & 21st Feb but we are still getting letters from our creditors, is this normal? For some reason I expected the letters to have stopped by now.Could it be the system just still churning them out?

I normally advise my clients in an IVA 2 months to see a stop in the letters.

I assume it would be the same in BR.

You will find that you will get a default notice from them, this would normally be the last letter as they have a duty to advise you that you have defaulted (By entering into BR this would be the default) and then that should be the last letter.

You may get an occasion letter from a third party to say they have bought the debt, eversheds normally.

I would pass them onto the OR

At least they probably have a collection company who shreds them and recycles the paper then you dont need to feel as guilty for the rainforests.

Chris it took a while after acceptance of my iva for letters to stop and got loads from Eversheds saying they had brought debts.

When they do stop it is the most wonderful feeling not to dred the postie anymore....mine is such a nice bloke, but how I used to dred seeing him!!
