Hi Tinytori
I give them a ring each month and they take an extra direct debit for the amount, but it is a larger amount than twenty pounds , you should in effect have to pay if your proposal is similar to mine 50% so you would pay them ten. The best thing to do is to give them a ring. Do you have your ac manager yet.If so then give them a ring if not still ring they will be able to put you through to the right person, have a chat and see what they suggest, they may not be worried at a small amount. Do your wages vary, mine do and if I,m on annual leave I dont get my night allowances and this cancels some of it out, keep track its quite easy, do a basic little spreadsheet. You could also put it aside until review and then they will tell you if you owe any. A lot depends on how frequent it is .

my wage is the same as u, its depends on how many sleep in's i do... so would you have to pay 50% of £20??? I dont have an ac manager yet xx

I would wait until you nhave an ac manahger and just put the half aside which would be 10 if twenty overtime. Try doing a little spreadsheet you can put what you earn wht your allownace is and take the one from the other and then divide it in two half you keep half you save , but if you have a lower then your allowance wage then you can make it up with what you have saved . Hope you get it.
Best thing is to just keep the extra aside and wait till you speak to them, but as you are like me you will find a lot of the time one bit of extra is cancelled out when you dont get the allowances. We pay extra each month as my husband does a lot of overtime and we would be being asked for a huge amount at review if I didnt do it this way. They may not be interested in such a small amount. Any way if you save your overtime separately then you could start a little contingency fund for emergencys. Fj do a review every 6 months still waiting on my first one will let you know how it goes.

Hi tinytori,

Good advice from aguise! I would keep the extra money aside until they tell you what to do. And i think its a great idea to have your contingency fund for emergencies.

Contact your IP and discuss this with them. Usually you will pay 50% of any overtime into your IVA.
