If meat is pink I refuse to eat it!

I worry about what I eat in our curry house, but I've been going there so long now it's a bit late!

I don't do pink either much to hubbys disgust!

I normally eat chicken if I have a curry so have no idea where it came from or how it is killed.

I do try and make sure that my meat is humanely reared and killed where I can.

I thought about phoning the curry house and asking them about their meat, but then I realised that I don't have to give my name when I phone up - I've had a squeaky voice with my cold this week and they still recognised me! It wouldn't be much of anonymous call!

The butcher we use slaughters on the premises so I know how it has been killed and it is all local.

I buy free range eggs, barn reared at a push but I will go without rather than buy battery farmed eggs.

Same here Jan. I don't think supermarkets should be allowed to sell battery eggs.

I always want to yell at those people in Asda who buy the Smart Price ones!

They should make the eggs cheaper as it's all some people can afford and morals go out the window on some things, I personally only buy free range eggs but I'm getting fed up with them now as the lady Craig is doing a new wet room for supplies us every other day with half a dozen free range eggs and I even made daughter a birthday cake on Sunday, it was a bit wonky but tasted ok.

I've had pie and chips today as we've just got in from the seaside. x

I love eggs but half a dozen every other day is a bit much!

I'm afraid I wouldn't compromise on something like that and there are certain brands I won't buy and certain things I won't eat on principle.

I think it's a shame people won't boycott battery eggs as then the supermarkets wouldn't sell them.

We've got a brilliant corner shop that sells everything, and he sells free range eggs so if he can do it the supermarkets can make a stand.

We've started getting ours from the local farm shop and they are a lot cheaper than the ones at Asda.

well Im sorry Im one of the hated then cos i do buy the smart price eggs, most of my shopping consists of smart price as the rest is so expensive. I still end up spending loads on teh shopping even if i only buy SP.

I love my food, meats fish and all. I like my slow cooker and grill though they don't get out much. If we get something from a takeaway I tend to get prawns so I can see what I am eating LOL.

I will buy some smart price stuff otherwise it's mostly own brands. The only reason I refuse to buy really cheap eggs is because of the way the chickens are kept.

I quite like fish as long as it is totally devoid of bones and skin and prawns have to have the shells totally removed otherwise I can't touch them! I usually have chicken for a takeaway unless it's a Chinese when I have crispy chilli beef!

I would never hate you for buying anything, we all do our own thing and I'm sure I do or buy a lot that others don't necessarily agree with. x
