Hey victoria, welcome to the forum. This is something you can do in the bank, but I don't really understand, are you struggling with just this debt or do you have any others? X

Hi and welcome.

I believe for you to have your name taken off the joint account, you have to put it in writing to the bank with your signature.

Is the credit card in joint names or your name only?

You will also need to transfer the direct debit to a new account in your name.
