I object to half the information on the census anyway, and I'm sorry, what has my sexual orientation (apparently a question on the next sensus!) got to do with the government!

Seriously, I cannot believe how incompetent this government is. Please don't think I'm getting political here, it wouldn't matter who they are! If I was as bad at my job I would have been sacked long ago!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

It is unbelieveable. I don't have any children, but my brother does and he is a bit of a worrier (perhaps necessarily so in this instance!) and has already contacted his bank about opening a new account.

I deal with HMRC on a regular basis, and the amount of mistakes they make on a day-to-day basis is incredible. I received a tax repayment cheque for a client the other day that related to someone completely different!!! HMRC had got the tax reference numbers muddled up!!!

With regards to the shares of NR, I feel that it is an investment that can go up or go down. If you receive a windfall on demutualisation, like the Halifax did a while ago, you don't give some of that to the government, so why should they bail you out when it goes wrong?

Just a point on Northern Rock's voting policies - they do not not accept IVAs for no reason. Nowadays, they always have a reason, but I suspect that some IP's do not try and find out what that reason is on behalf of their clients.
