Just seen on the news that the Home Information Pack for selling a house is to come in for 3 bed houses now from September.

Our house has just been repossessed, they are changing the locks on 29 August. Presumably when Northern Rock sell it, they will need a HPI? Is this just another debt they will try and foist onto us as well as all their solicitor’s cost, interest, etc and the shortfall that they say we will be liable for???????????????????? We have not told them we are planning bankruptcy, should we? Would it actually change anything?

I kno, but I just bet they will say we are liable for the cost! Hopefully, it will all be covered in the bankruptcy!

Jane

You will be held liable for all costs relating to the repossession and subsequent sale - or rather Picture Home Loans will be as their shortfall will be higher! You may just get a little bit of satisfaction from knowing that!

I know, I have just been reading our “would-have-been” IVA proposal and it does state that if Picture had agreed to a sale of the house, they would have got about half their money back and whatever we could afford to pay in an IVA. I still cannot fathom what they are thinking refusing the sale as the proposal states that in bankruptcy, the return will be NIL!
