The stupid thing is, that when they were Midland Bank they were great. I was with Girobank in the 80's and had problems with them with the personal loan I had with them. They cleared my account out on payday without so much as a 'by your leave'. Hubby was with Midland, so we went and saw the bank manager, his account was made a joint one with an overdraft until I got Girobank sorted out.

They wouldn't do that now.
