HSBC Still show old debt

Just a quick question my IVA finished in 2016 CRA not showing any old debts but I applied for a Marks Spencer credit card who were a creditor in my IVA and HSBC underwrite their cards only to be told I still have a card with them.i guess these companies keep internal records of former customers who defaulted. My IVA started in 2008.
