I can't believe it.

Apparently his two best mates, who own the company, went through all their contracts and realised that they didn't have work for everyone. So they sent one of the employees to tell Jon he was being made redundant! They didn't even have the decency to come and tell him themselves or even phone.

I'm fuming and I don't know what will happen now, I'm so worried about money. Poor Jon has got root canal surgery this afternoon too, what a rubbish day for him! I presume he will be able to claim job seekers allowance so I'll get him to phone them later and make an appointment. He's only been there since September so he won't get any sort of redundancy pay. Let's just hope he gets another job soon.

Hi Vicki,

So sorry to hear about Jon's job...just when things were going right eh?

Remember how much you've gone through and how far you have come. Try to stay positive and something good will be around the corner, I'm sure.

Thinking of you....and thanks for my card. I was so surprised when I opened the post [:)]

xx

Viki very sorry to hear about John. Not very good mates and disgusting treatment from them. Everyone knows that businesses are suffering and I am sure you and he would have thought a lot more of these two if they had the decency and bottle to tell him themselves face to face. I really hope he finds something else soon.

Vikki, I really feel for you and Jon. It's not what you need right now. I do hope he gets another job soon.

I don't think I'd be talking to those 'friends' again, that's for sure!

I hope he gets on ok at the dentist this afternoon as well.

Thanks everyone, we appreciate the support. I'm so mad at the moment. If they had just explained their situation and told him themselves then Jon would have been fine about it, well, upset, but he would have understood. Fancy sending a messenger! Jeez. Jon is staying positive and will be job hunting when he gets back from the dentist.
