Hi everyone! Husband has just got a job after struggling to get a sympathetic employer because he is disabled. What a week this has been. IVA was approved last week and that was based on my income and his pension and benefits. Obviously he will now not be entitled to benefits but may keep some of his dla. What happens in this case,he will be getting more money so is it a case of any moneys extra over and above what he was getting( our iva proposal is keep first 10% then 50% of anything else) or will we need to do a new income and expenditure? Going to ring IP and discuss but wanted to pick all your brains on here first![:D]

Hi nmd. That's great news about OH's job, well done. That must be a great weight off your minds. Not sure about your query, I would have thought the 10% & 50% would apply until your review but I am no expert. Ask Melanie or your IP, they will give you more info on this. Looks like things are looking up in the nomoredosh household, and so it should too. You'll be celebrating again this weekend then, good for you. Kazzy x

As his income has gone up it will need a proper review, its not like overtime,so I would contact your IP right away (if you know what husbands take home pay and beneifts will be).

Well done him on getting the job.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

As your husband's circumstances have completely changed, Plastic is right in that I would expect your IP to complete a more fuller review with you at this time.

He is so delighted, it has been very tough for him not having a job, and trying to persuade employers to give him a go with his disability has been an absolute nightmare! It just goes to show that perserverance really can pay off. What is the really good thing about it is the job is one he really wants.I will get on to our IP as soon as I know what our income will now be!! Thanks guys and gals[:)]
