Oh im so so sorry about your news, that must be awful.
If anything was to happen to you, the IVA would be paid out of your estate (if any)
Dont sit there worrying about this, your health is far far more important.

Take it easy xxx

Hi there S79 and welcome to the forum, I only wish we were welcoming you at a less worrying period in your life - here's to wishing you a positive outsome and speedy recovery.

With regard to your concerns, may I first apologise if my advice upsets or worries you in any way, but this is not an area I have come across. You have done the right thing in contacting your IP and keep in contact with them to ensure you are having their support in assisting you with your financial difficulties whilst you deal with your health issues.

As a rule an individuals debts die with them, although creditors may be entitled to make a claim against the deceased estate. Try to locate all loan paperwork and insurance policies you may have taken out to see what benefits/ payments you may be entitled to following your diagnosis.

I apologise again if this does not deal with your particular circumstances and is very 'general' but perhaps if you have a particular concern or worry you could post again and i wll try to answer and assist you to the best of my ability.

Be positive, Melanie
