I have dealt with professional golfers before, and, if memory serves, going Bankrupt is a no-no. However, the world turns and it is definitely worth checking with any professional body. The difficulty you may face, in reality, is that all forms of credit are effectively barred in BR, meaning that you may be limited in your ability to, for example, travel to tournaments and earn money in the first place. An IVA may be possible as an alternative, but you would certainly need to speak to someone with experience in this type of case.

I also have acted for many golfers in the past and believe that bankruptcy leads to loss of PGA status. As Size 5 says check with your professional body as this could be very serious. People often wonder how golfers can get into financial trouble but they are not all wealthy and many scrape by.
