Its actually happening!

The man at CAB got me panicking again last week as he mentioned again the shortfall debt from the house and he fears it may “linger” after discharge. I emailed the Insolvency Service and have had a reply, and it is definite that no matter how long after the bankruptcy date the house sells, any shortfall WILL be a bankruptcy debt! Thank God, that might put my mind at rest a bit.

CAB are photocopying my forms and I collect them tomorrow and will put in all the up to date amounts and figures I can find, is the thing to do???? Obviously the debts rise almost daily with interest and charges.

I am not sleeping at all tho! I went to my old house today, Nrock have possession from tomorrow so it was the last time I will go, I got a bit tearful, it was upsetting. My car will be probably going very soon too so I will empty it tomorrow of all my things.

I cannot believe its actually happening now! Its scary

I know, I was just sooo scared of finding out in the future that we still owe the secured debt shortfall! Bankruptcy is a serious enough business as it is and to find out we would still have the debt was unbearable! It was the horrible woman from Picture Finance who put the idea in my head, she was so insistent that I would still have to pay it and that she was an expert, she told me! She really got my back up, I have read that these secured loan companies are known for these kind of bullying tactics and will say anything to get a payment, well now I can say, I have researched it thoroughly and it WILL be included.

New start, here we come!!!!!!!!

Good luck Jane ... thinking of you.

I think that one of the most reassuring things is that by handing everything over to the OR it is taken out of your hands and someone else deals with it. After having struggled on my own with a small family for so long that thought is really quite appealing :)

Good luck Jane, you will feel so much better when the deed is done on Thursday.

On the BR forms just put the most up to date figures that you have. I used the figures from my IVA proposal.

Let us know how you get on x
