I am currently on a debt management plan and my fixed term mortgage with the Halifax come to an end in July 2011. Just wondered what my options might be with regard to remortgaging on another fixed term.

Hi and welcome.

I've no idea I'm afraid, it may well be a case of 'suck it and see'. They might do another deal, but you will need to ask them.

Hi there.

Finding a new lender might be tricky as your credit rating is likely to have declined due to your debt management plan.

Three months before your existing mortgage expires I'd suggest that you contact Halifax. All being well they'll be offering replacement fixed rates. Provided that you're not looking to raise any additional money there's unlikely to be any credit check as the bank is not taking any additional risk over and above that which they already have.
