You can indeed rent a property although you might have some problems with the credit check some agencies throw in.
The most important thing is to be upfront and honest with the agency. They may ask for a larger deposit, a guarantor is better (if you can get one).
Some of these agency vetting companies seem to think IVA's are BR and will reject you (bummer when it costs about £40 a time)
Private landlords are obviously usually a bit more flexible so might be worth a go.
However, there are some people on here that have managed to get through a letting credit check successfully whilst in an IVA (somehow).
Again, I'd just say be upfront and honest the worst they can say is they wouldn't accept you and you might actually be surprised sometimes as an IVA is actually a good way to prove a repayment history. Your IP should be able to provide a reference for you.
