cant find anyone...boo hoo....realise the threads are now seperated..social/chit chat...questions....wondered where everyone had gone for last 24 hours...no pals anywhere...or if they are there ...no chit chat...i havent slept a wink with no late night jokette from Ray .!!...i am confused

eventually worked out what was going on ..(after thinking it was a conspiracy to lock me out tee hee.)...and found the social posts....BUT...how do you post a new topic on social post...or does it automatically get sent there by some computer miracle who can suss out what is serious and what is chit chat???
if someone can tell me how to start a thread or new topic over in the nether regions i will depart from this thread.....thanks....

I don't like these changes to the forum. They're all confusing and I like having a browse through 250 posts and taking my pick.Sometimes serious topics are also chats.I can't decide where to go and I think I'm missing out now![:I]

Cat, I know how you feel - I have spent my lunchtime trying to catch up with the posts here there and everywhere.

I'm sure it will just take getting used to. It's only because the forum has got so popular that these changes have had to be made.

Stick with it [:)]

I think a lot of people are struggling to find their feet on the new forum. It seems a shame that things have to be split out, but I am sure that we will all get used to it. I for one used to enjoy reading the social and supportive elements, as from an IP's perspective it is useful to get a grass roots feel for how people are struggling and what things are affecting people in IVAs. I will make a point of reading the social and chat posts when I can.

altho i understand the reasons behind the sepreation...it is very hard work trying to keep up with everything...if i stay on the social chit chat one...then i can miss out on the questions part and vice versa....and if i try to keep up with both sides...i find i am clicking all over the place and everything takes twice as long...

not sure what the answer is...
and also in the past ..a question thread can become a social one and vice versa...
i def. dont like the changes...but hey ho...i dont like my debt either!!!!

Is there not some way the home page can be configured so that we can bring up the two top 250 posts side by side? That way we could look at both and post on whichever we wanted.

As moderator of the social side, I will have to keep constantly changing back and forth to check for spam, as well as to post on there.

That would be a good idea Kallis - it would make it much easier to read. I'm not keen on the new format, being a bit of a dinosaur!

I'm not keen either, and as we have half of a page free, I though we could possibly do that.

Or, instead of posting the top 10 (or however many) with the most views, get rid of that and put more of the social chat on the bottom.

Doubt it TOL, there's lots of threads which start off on one topic, and change to another.

I much prefered it the way it was.
