Do you have a family member or friend who could loan you the money? It wouldn't be a problem with the IVA as you could start to pay them back as soon as it's finished.

It is in nobodys interests to fail the IVA now and of course if you go bankrupt you stand a chance of losing your house.

Is there no possibility of an extension in lieu of the this money?

Hi - you are allowed to take out a new loan with your IP's permission but it is unlikely you would be able to find a lender. Have you discussed the options if you cannot raise the money, such as additional payments or creditors accepting payments made to date? I'm sure no-one wants to see your IVA fail at this late stage. Even if it did...you could go onto a DMP to clear the outstanding debt or perhaps even manage it normally now the IVA has got it down. xx

I don't understand why you can't extend the IVA further. What does your IP have to say about this?

Hi all, my wife has only been able to raise £2,000, she cant get the £5,000 due her part time wages etc. my IP is consulting her Boss, to see if my creditors will accept this figure of £2,000 as full and final settlement, i will know on Thursday if this will be accepted. Like said above extending the IVA is not an option im on my fifth yr now. Finger legs and toes crossed.
