Grant Thornton are happy for me to deal with the bank and ppi claims myself. I have sent out all my letters and are now getting responses. Which is going well.
However, I received a letter from Citi Cards saying they had been contacted by a third party. Citi cards was asking my permission to send information to the third party, I rang Citi Cards and said I had not asked a third party to look into my affairs. They would not disclose to me on the phone who the third party was, but said they would write to me. I told them clearly I did not give my permission.
I have just received a further letter from Citi Cards, This was not to tell me who the third party was as I was expecting but to say that Expert Insovency Claims had been given information about my account and sending the same to me to keep me in the loop.
I am quite upset that EIC have acted against my wishes as have Citi Cards. I have written to my IVA provider to complain and to City Cards. Surely EIC are not allowed to do this without my permission.

Maybe EIC's urgency/bully boy tactics were because they had already started acting on your behalf?
Shocking....
I can now do without.....

I thought the Data Protection Act was supposed to protect you from this sort of thing?
