Well,it's official, the sprout season is upon us.

I actually hate sprouts, they taste horrible.Iremember as a kid the christmas table having mounds of the smelly things and being told if we don't eat our veggies we won't get any pudding. How unfair is that?
Actually,I never really went without pudding, but that doesn't count.
On christmas afternoon we used to sit and watch The sound of music(again)and as Maria was running across that mountain we had the additional soundtrack of my Dad parping! He used to say it was on the telly and we all used to howl with laughter because you do at that age, don't you.Anyone else hate sprouts?

I love both of those as well. I particularly like celery with cream cheese in it.

I hate celery but dont mind sprouts, instead of the usual boiled to within an inch of their life why don't you try doing them a different way,
Sliced thinly and fried with some lardons of streaky bacon and a crushed garlic clove, or roasted in a little olive oil. It improves the flavour and even the fussy eaters in my family will eat them if done in either of those ways. You dont seem to get as many 'botty burps' this way either :-)
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

Sprouts are the devil's food and have no place in a civilised society! I can assure you there won't be any in this house at Christmas or any other time of the year!

The only veg I really like are peas, beans and mushrooms!

I can't stand the smell of them cooking either (or cabbage) so that's the main reason they are banned from the house!

Hated sprouts when I was growing up - love them now but only boiled to death and the wicked bubble and squeal my mum makes on Boxing Day!

I do not hate sprouts nor do I love them.

But it ain't Christmas without them!! [:D]

We'd be having them in my house but I'm working my usual 12 hour shifts all Xmas week. That's Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th and 28th!!! [:(] To add to this suckiness the buses will either not be running or running a Sunday service which means I have to walk 4 miles to and from work (No way can I afford taxis all week lol)

On the bright side, the client is getting us a gourmet Xmas lunch from the Hotel across the road on Xmas Day [:D]
1st payment Oct 2008, last payment Dec 2013. Certificate received March 2015 due to PPI claim.

We don't have them! Hubby's Mum likes sprouts but she doesn't get them when she comes to us for Christmas - Christmas dinner comprises things I like!
