I have an IVA which was approved two days ago at the creditors meeting. I noticed today two days after that one of my creditors which had agreed to the IVA had taken money out of my bank account aree they allowed to do this can I claim the money back somehow.

Hi and welcome,

I am afraid if it was one of your Creditors then yes they are quite entitled to take the money. That is why it is always worth straight away changing to a bank account with a company that you do not owe anything to

No they are not allowed to do this once an IVA has been approved. Did you open a new bank account and close your direct debits with the old account? Is your current account with a bank which is also a creditor?

I'd get in touch with your IP and tell them about it. They can speak to the creditor in question.
