I have been on maternity leave and my IVA has given me a 6 month payment break. I am due to start paying again in March £730.00 but my wage for this month is only just over £400 Statutory Maternity Pay. My husband pays the mortgage and all utility bills and we don't have anything spare. Do you think my IVA company would consider extending the break for another month? Thanks, Louise
Speak to your IP immediately - cannot see it being a problem though - suggest pay now what you can afford and maybe make up the rest in the future.

I am sure your IP will be sympathetic, as David says, give them a ring and explain your situation to them.

One extra month will not make a huge amount of difference, and as the continuation of the IVA seems important to you I am sure your IP will be as helpful as possible.
