I have been under a IVA for almost a year, my current situation seems to improve and i want to pay my creditors back, i tried to speak to the IVA company however they didnt seem to be positive about me wanting to pay the creditors back..can you help me in this matter...

Hi,

You should be coming up to your 12 month review now, and can tell your IP via a new income and expenditure form that you are earning extra and can afford to pay more back.

Jan is right. the terms of your IVA mean you should pay more if you can afford it but do not overstretch yourself.

How strange that an IP would discourage a client to pay back as much as they could afford. Which firm are you with?
