Hello,
I have posted about this before but unfortunately nothing has moved on since,
I paid my final IVA payment to Grant Thornton on sept 1st but still don't have my certificate. I have chased and chased but am only told that it .'shouldnt be long' I am aware of the new ppi rules, and have completed all the relevant forms to allow claims to be made on my behalf (though I am 100% certain that I didn't have any ppi)
I am trying to secure a mortgage but without the certificate it's hard for me to correct the info on my credit file (some are listed as being after the start date of my IVA)
Can anyone suggest a way of speeding things up at GT? Can I go to the ombudsman? I have asked them to register a formal complaint, and got an email saying it would be passed on to the relevant team, this was a week ago now.
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Rebecca

Do you have a copy of their complaints procedure? That way you can ensure when you go to the regulatory body you know you have exhausted their internal complaints process.

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

You cannot refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman, but if uou feel strongly enough you can refer the matter to the IP's regulatory body.
