I have had an IVA for 16 months. I have been advised by my office that I may have to take a pay cut. At present I do not know how much the pay cut will be. If I am unable to make the payment required of me in full each month, what will happen with my IVA, will the autonomy be extended?

Hi Fran,

Once you know what your pay cut will be, you will need to contact your IP to discuss it with them.

It may be that they need to put forward a variation in the payments, depending upon how much you lose.

Let your IP know about the impending wage cut, and let them have full details as soon as you know how this is going to affect your take home pay. If you can still then fund some form of contribution, a variation may be necessary but your IP will be able to advise better on this.
