Nice post Lou, followed by some other very noble remarks by honest people who just want to pay off their debts and are prepared to go the whole distance to do so - what a pity some of our politicians and bankers are not as honest, needing the thumbscrews and national humiliation in the media to get them to pay back anything at all !
Mike papa , I hope ur IVA is accepted it is a great feeling when it happens, it has learned us so much budgeting to make our money last a month dont think I ever did it before we had huge debts. robbin peter to pay paul all the time, we have been incredibly lucky to get this chance to put it right , and it does work we now live within our means without CARDS which i never thought we would do with the occasional nights out too!
I agree completely - we have just about sent in all our documents to VB now, so our case can move to the next stage - we're already budgeting and managing to keep a credit balance in our new account, and feel so much more positive already - we really want our IVA to be accepted so we can move on with our lives.
Good luck ROH - hope it works out and and please keep us informed as to how you are getting on.

Thanks Kallis - I will. This forum has helped me deal with our IVA application, and I'll keep you posted - hopefully shouldn't be long before we receive our draft proposal.
I'm sure you will be fine - VB have an excellent reputation.

Hope you get it soon, I feel all left out as I'm at a similar stage to you and Penny but I still need some docs back from the old IP firm and they are dragging their heels in sending it back to me as I suspected they would!
7 year IVA completed in December 2016 - there is light at the end of that tunnel
You can always ask your creditors for some up to date figures Cath.

I've got all that, it's payslips, council tax statements and such. I was daft enough not to take copies!
I have asked my secured lender for copies of their info but even if I did need the up to date statements from my creditors I would be too scared to phone and ask for it vis a vis the Barclaycard debacle!

I think you may need up to date statements Cath, speak to your prospective IP to see what they require.
It may be that you have to bite the bullet and ask for up to date settlement figures.

Send what you have alredy collated to your IP, Cath, and the rest can follow later on. Work on your case can still progress while IPs are awaiting one or two documents.
