Hi I have been making payments on my IVA for over 1 year now. (First payment was end of November). I have yet to receive anything from my IP to undertake a review which I was expecting. I have been making some extra payments along with my regular payments on time. Could this be why I have not been sent anything?

The IP should have conducted your review by now, as they have 2 months from the anniversary period to report to you and the creditors as to its progress.

Although your first payment was in November 2006, was this before ar after the creditors' meeting ? The 2 month deadline is from the anniverary of the creditors' meeting date, as that is when the IVA was formally approved.

Hi Phillip,

I did not start making payments until after the creditors meeting where my IVA terms were agreed. I have to phone them on Friday when I get paid to make an extra payment by debit card so should I ask them then? Or leave it? I read somwhere on another forum post that when somebody else checked the IP had already conducted a review without any paperwork being complete! Is this common?

I don't see how the IP can conduct a review without paperwork. As a minimum they're going to want to see some recent payslips and your last P60.

Yes, you can ask them why they haven't done a review as yet.

I completely agree with Philip. As IPs were are continually having our fees cut by creditors who do not seem to understand that amount of work we have to carry out over the year. Some IP's have decided to cut corners, but gladly there are others who will continue to do the good work required of us under the terms of the IVA.

Thanks both, I will bring it up with them this week. My main concern was whether anything could happen as a result of the review not being done even though they haven't requested anything from me. Nothing much has changed and i'm making further payments as i've had a small pay increase whilst on a secondment.

Another question! Are Accuma (whom i'm with) classed as one of these IVA factories?
