Clive, if anything does happen with your IVA proposal and it doesn't get accepted, you could always file for br unless it's going to affect your employment.
I understand people want to pay back their creditors but sometimes it's just not possible and br is there when that's the case.

Well thats just it isnt it Andrew.. I would rather be on an Iva as i see its the best thing for me, As so does my Ip.. Because i cannot continue living on just £50 a month.. Its madness with petrol prices as they are at the mo and other expensis for food etc.. you just can do it...

Who says that you can't have a Holiday.
As long as your not going to the Bahamas
or Barbados or a really expensive holiday abroad to Spain or Anywhere like that.
What about a Camping Holiday or Weekend Caravan Holiday.
Fishing Holiday where you are self sufficient and do it yourself THEY ARE WELL COOL!!

i been abroad loads of times such USA,AUSTRALIA
SPAIN etc and you can have just a good a time in good old Blighty!!

eg. Dorset , Devon , Cornwall

I would bet you a £100 that those people you are talking about Going Abroad are all using their Flexible Friends.
I should know i did that myself and in say 5 - 10 years they will be Posting on here.
when they will be going to Devon or Cornwall and your IVA is finished and you will be going Abroad.

It's a Funny World isn't it!!!

To tell you the truth Clive G , being in an IVA
is the best move i have EVER!! made and the VAST MAJORITY of IVA's get accepted.
I think they like the idea of making you sweat!!
But really in all honesty i should have done this years ago instead of like everyone else
Burying My Head in the Sand!!.

An IVA CliveG leads upto a CLEAN SLATE with you paying back as much as you can reasonably afford
and i can't see any reason that your IVA Application will Fail as if you went BR they would get back next to Nothing!!
Your IP would not put your application/proposal through if they think it won't succeed as they will not earn anything from it.
I think they like the Suspense of it All!!!.
Go to work Relax and enjoy your Life and Hope for a Debt Free Future in 60 months instead of 60 years if you carried on as you were.
Stop Arguing with the Missus, I KNOW IT'S HARD!!
but it will definately sort itself out and you have done EXACTLY!! the right thing in going for an IVA.

Hi Clive your story reads abit like my husbands. he told me he had thought about suicide and thought of leaving me with nothing was the only thing that stopped him.. he then considered an accident at work which he thought I would have at least got pensions etc.. I cried for days when he told me this and to think he had kept it all from me. we have our meeting on the 28th and i know yours is 29th..

My husband is a different person these days (not literally) since contacting Melanie and her team, I just hope everything goes through ok!!

So chin up you're not alone.. you have your new best friends on here, who don't judge you for what you have or haven't got, just can relate to you cos we're all there or have been there[:)]
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

if you wish for a rainbow... then you have to put up with the rain xx

Cheers Ang.. Ya lovely.. I hope you/ ya husband gets approved on the 28th.. Its gonna be alright hey? :-) xx

Ps thing is ang its really difficult for people to talk to others especailly family and friends about being in debt.. Ive been trying to plod along on my own for over 1yr and a half.. personally i found it pretty embarassin to have got into such problems, But when finances start getting on top off you, Actions have to be taken.. And still im stressed about it now.. But hopefully if my iva is approved i can kinda move on and organise my life a bit.

Clive xx

Ps im pleased that your husband is alright and all the best for you on the 29th xx

we haven't told any family or close friends.. i've told a couple of work colleagues and one advised her IVA has just finished another is in a DMP.. funny how many people you don't realise are no different to yourself..

you're not alone on here, and I have personally found it a tower of strength.. hubby thinks i'm addicted!!

keep posting when you're feeling down.. theres always somebody to pick you up, dust you down and set you on your way again!![;)]

It's nice to see you sounding more positive Clive. You're only a young lad with the rest of your life ahead of you. Now you're getting your debt sorted things will start to improve for you.
As it's already been said, get your IVA sorted and in 5yrs your money's your own.....
There's always someone here if you're feeling low or worried. Even if you just want to have a moan or tell us what's happening with you....
take care,
xx
It's nice to be back......
