Our joint f & f was accepted in May 2012.
In July we were told certificate would be with us in a couple of weeks. I chased in November and was told when f&f was accepted it could take up to a year. I left it until March this year. (You've got to admit I was patient) I enquired again and had an email asking us confirm we had not received any windfalls and we had not made any ppi claims. I confirmed that same day that we hadn't.

On May 1st I sent an email asking what precisely we were waiting for. Was it PPI? Or correspondence from creditors? Or internal administration?
Reply came - report is withIP. I will chase for you. I replied that didn't answer my question. I chased again and asked exactly what we were waiting for. Now he hasn't even bothered to reply.

To be honest it's not the fact I haven't had my certificate that bothers me but the complete inability to answer a simple question.

Carrie

I will deal with this for you off-line. Can you send me an e-mail confirming who you have been speaking with in my organisation, so that I can follow through the paper trail please.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Thank for your prompt reply Melanie. Apologies as I didn't want to use the forum to get your attention, but wasn't getting anywhere with emailing your representative.

I have no problem with you contacting me via the forum - but assume that you do have my direct e-mail address if you needed to draw this to my personal attention. Either way, we will get this sorted out for you.

There is a very well known Melanie Giles - who has a hairdressing salon in Bath, and has the website melaniegiles.co.uk as opposed to my melaniegiles.com! I keep meaning to make an appointment for a trim there, to see if both of us could get some mutual PR value - that said, I don't think she would want her business to be seen to have an assocaition with an insolvency practitioner for obvious reasons!!!

Thanks Luluj
Yes I've got a reply from Mel and am very happy. I now know exactly where I am with my IVA. Like I said earlier I'm not chasing the certificate, just where I am with things.
