I don't think I exist with my IVA company ! I have been in an IVA for over 2years, I offered a full and final payment 10 months ago, equal to 25p in the pound. I have not heard anything since, I have not paid any money to them in over 12 months and I have just found out, that they went into liquidation months ago. Anyone got any ideas what to do ??
Thanks, Mick

If they went into liquidation the caseload should have been transferred to another company -- who were you with ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Why not check the Insolvency register first. If you're on there it will list your IP details to contact.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

What is the name of the company you were/are with Mick.99. I have not heard of any IP firms entering liquidation - but can check this out for you if you can let me have the details.

Melanie thanks for the reply, we are getting a bit worried. We have seen another company, in the Manchester News from Bolton, who kept all the payments from clients, then went into liquidation and took all the money with them, so everyone still owed what they did at the start. The company who we are with is/was Unique Debt Solutions from Bolton.

Thanks, Mick

I cannot find a firm of that name on the Insolvency Service' website, but the name does sound familiar and there is a sort of website up which may be linked to them. What is the name of the insolvency practitioner who is/was acting as your Supervisor? This may be easier for me to find.

Geragrd Ratcliffe, now of Lawson Fox ! Unique Debt Solutions company no. 04555419 on companies house is in liquidation. We have paid in over 24k to this company over the last two years and I have a feeling this has gone. They have said they are rebranding as Lawson Fox, but this firm has been trading for a few years and a couple or more directors are with both firms. All just seems a bit wrong !!
Thanks Mick

He is still showing as working with this firm according to the Insolvency Service website - at least working with Lawson Fox. I suggest that you try to contact him there to find out the current status of your IVA.

We have never had a statement of what we have paid in to the IVA, so this could be a good start ??? Thanks Mick

We have never had any type of statement over the two years to say where the 24k has gone and who to ! So I think we will chase this up.

Thanks, Mick

I would say this is something you ought to definately do Mick.99. Are you actually sure you are in an IVA rather than an DMP?

I talked to the case worker at Unique a few weeks ago and then another person and all seemed fine, it looks like Unique itself went in to Liquidation on 25th June but my interpretation is that the IP is responsible for the IVA and therefore remains the supervisor. It all smells a bit fishy so will ring them this coming week and see what the state of play is - I would have at least expected some communication as this could become unnerving if there are any irregularities.

Thanks for the replies,

I am in an IVA and still had no statements of accounts, and my company is also in a CVA, where we have paid over 18k to the same IP and no confirmation of payments, apart from bank records ! I can't get my head arround, how a company can go into liquidation, normally this is done because of no available money, but then the IP and Director of the new company, still have all the funds paid into the previous company still available to him!!! So if they gone into liquidation, where has the money gone ? Surley there has to have been some underhand transactions ??
Thanks
