Hi Zoe,

You have been given some good advise by the other experts and it is true that Northern Rock are slightly tougher than some other creditors as are HSBC.
But to slightly put your mind at rest we have had IVA acceptances with Modifications from NR over the last month, so it is definatly not impossible.
Good Luck, please keep us posted as to how you are getting on.

Kind Regards

Nicola

Hi Zoe

No it is not true that Thomas Charles are not taking on any more Northern Rock cases. We will judge each case on it's own merits.

Sorry to hear you are still feeling so stressed about this all. Sadly that information is not correct, apologies for that, I think that perhaps the admin assistant has misunderstood, they should have passed you on to a Debt Expert. It is important for you to speak to someone so they can assess you entire debt problem and then give you an informed solution.

Would you like to speak to an adviser?

That's no problem Zoe.

When you are ready feel free to contact us and speak to a debt adviser.

The gambling won't necessarily be a problem as long as you have stopped.

The important thing will be to eventually have a lengthy conversation outling the finer details of your financial problems.

Take your time, as we have said before your health is the most important thing.

Hi Zoe

As many of the posters have said, Northern Rock are not the easiest creditor to deal with but it is possible to get IVAs accepted by them.

I really think that your next course of action must be to speak to a debt advisor on the telephone (whether that be Thomas Charles or another company). You can then have a good conversation and discuss your entire situation and make a plan to get things sorted.

Thanks James and Oliver
I can always count on you two to pick me up!
I will be sorting this very shortly
I have further appointments with my Counsellor in the next few weeks
I will be asking Thomas Crown for help as you have been so kind and helpful. You are both a credit to them!
Do either of you deal with the IVA or is it another advisor?

You would be guided through the process by a debt adviser whom are all excellent (you can review client's feedback on them all on our website).

Hello Zoe

I just wanted to say hang on in there, dont worry about what brought you here. Youre trying to find a solution to your problem and should not be judged, do not allow it to destroy you, you are stronger than you think. (easier said than done I know)

There will be an answer out there for you, for all of us. Pace yourself stress wise, be proud of yourself for coming this far, I actually think you are really brave.

Good luck to you and yours

I agree with Lily - you are brave as you have faced up to your problems. We're all pretty much in the same boat on here, so keep posting and we will all try and help. Good luck!
