I want to enter into an IVA but with so many companies out there not sure who the best one would be. I don't want a company that charges me, but gets a payment from my creditors. Any advice would be great.

Hi
I would recommend you take a look at www.iva.co.uk
There you will find a list of companies and reviews on each.

It is advisable to contact 2 or 3 to make sure you are comfy with what you are being told.
They should explain ALL the options available to you and the pros and cons of each.

Good luck

The creditors dont actually pay the IP company you choose, they are paid out of the contributions that you make into the IVA.
Melanie Giles comes highly recommended, but feel free to shop around, you have to work with the IP for several years so find someone you are comfortable with.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

It can be said that your creditors actually pay the IP, however as you are the one who is actually providing the funds to your creditors to do so, it is vitally important that you understand the basis of charges, and how there are calculated.

Often the level of charges quoted, do not necessarily correlate to the level of service provided, so as other forum posters have mentioned, speak to a couple of companies to compare the service levels provided.
