I recently completed my Iva June 2016, early this year I let a claims company check if I had any ppi completely forgot the Iva company would be due any refunded money. The refunds have been sent straight to my insolvency practitioner ( freeman jones). I haven't spoke to them yet but I'm getting the impression that I will now end up with the bill to the claims company. Do you know if this will be the case or would freeman jones make sure the claims company get their payment?

Thanks
Ian

I rather think you will have to foot the bill but it won't hurt to have a word with FJ next week just in case.

In these circumstances it is often you that will end up footing the claims company bill. However, speak to FJ -- they might well agree to pay it ( after all they will still be getting THEIR cut!). They are, however, not obliged to.

Hi after I made my last payment & waiting for my c.c I had a ppi company claim back money independently which they paid straight to IVA. I didnt think for one minute they would find any as the IVA company already sorted this out. I was worried that I would have to pay fees but I was advised by IVA company to get invoices from ppi claims company send to IVA who then paid the bill. It was bit of pain doing this but saved me a big bill. I know your in slightly different circumstances but worth a try.

Thanks for your replies, I have spoken to FJ and they have confirmed they will pay any third parties involved. Which is nice to know.... They have already made contact independantly from me and I have bbeen informed I do not have to do anything. They were surprisingly helpful. Of course I dont think I'll see any PPI money, but I don't have to worry about the Bills for the claims company.

Thanks again
Ian

Excellent -- not all firms would do that and it is good to hear of those that do.
