Am I right in thinking that if an IVA fails, due to a variation being refused that one option available is a DMP.

If so do you have to wait for the IVA to be properly failed... And what does that process entail. Suffice to say if that is the road I have to take, I won't be using the IVA company to manage a DMP for me!!!!

Hi
If the proposal at the variation meeting is refused then your original IVA is still in force

But I can't afford that Andy and that is why I am looking at going into a DMP if the variation fails. I was questioning what you had to do , to go from IVA into a DMP.

Hi
Sorry, once your IVA is failed by your P you could contact a different company to arrange your DMP,Melanie knows a good one[it,s Brightoak, contact andrew@brightoak.co.uk]
You could also look to do that full and final in the near future using a provider that has low fees.

If your IVA is unaffordable then this will ultimately fail. You then can attempt to enter into an informal agreement with your creditors and there are a number of companies on the market who will assist you with this.
