If mine is rejected can I go to another company and try again or will I have to do a debt management plan for a few months?

Thank you.

You can try again but if you have already made the best offer you can then it is likely that your creditors may reject again.

What was the reason for rejection?

Have your circumstances changed?

It hasn't been rejected yet, my IVA meeting is this week but I am 99% sure it will fail.

Why are you so confident it will fail?

Because I paid my sister back some money I owed her from a savings account and I think they will reject because of that. I just have a bad feeling!

Poppy

Unless the amount was material, I would not have thought that this would cause any problems.

Hi poppy Feeling anxious about an iva being accepted is completely normal. Im by no means an expert but i would have said if your ip has put forward a proposal he/she is more than confident it has a high chance of being accepted. A lot of work goes into an iva not to mention the expence of man hours dealing with our cases. That they wouldnt put forward a proposal that was doomed to fail. Hope yours gets accepted. Let us know how you get on xxx

Thank you for eveyone's help & Support xx

I don't think your IP would have taken your case on if they didn't feel confident of its success. As Melanie says if this money isn't a material amount this will have little relevance on your proposal.

Hi poppy,

I don't think you will have a problem there.
It's normal to be worried and anxious but as long as you talk to your IP about your concerns everything will be alright.

Hi Poppy,

Try not to dwell on an outcome that has not yet happened, I know that it is easy to say and you probably feel like your life is in the hands of your creditors, but taking one step at a time is the best way.
