if i do an iva what about my husbands wages (as the debts are not his) are his wages included in my income therefore forcing him to pay towards my debts

Yes they are included I'm afraid,creditors tend to feel that husbands/wives have benefited from the credit used and so use both incomes to assess displosible income.They will be checking to see that you pay a fair share for the household expenses[if you earn 50% of the total household income you should pay 50% of the household bills]
Have a chat with an IVA company or two and see what their view is on this.

Hello there,

Your husbands wages will be taken into account as your income and expenditure will be representing your household. Although it does seem like he is being forced to pay for your debts, creditors could argue that he has benefitted from the items you have purchased with credit.
