A lot depends on what your occupation is, but as a general rule of thumb it is very rarely a major issue.

Certain professions or occupations require their employees to disclose financial problems, and certain firms make this a contractual obligation. If in doubt have a read through your contract of employment, or staff handbook, or try an anonymous call to your HR department for further guidance.

Can your employer find out from your change of tax code? can an employer tell you have an IVA from a new tax code?

Angela is spot on - there is no amendment to tax codes as a result of an IVA.

Im sure Mine changed when I went into an IVA ! cause I kept getting demands and my accountant said, dont worry they will stop soon as thats your old tax code and you have a new one now that everythings going under!

Not at all. An IVA has no effect on self-assessment, so you ought to look into that jpj as it is not right.
