I have a pair of Tesco jeans in a 14 that need a belt to keep them up and a pair of Next jeans in a 16 that cut in - where's the logic in that?!?!

No logic in that at all!

I have a pair of stretcy M&S trousers - I bought them when I was a size 24/26 and they are a 20, and they are now getting a bit too big for me.

I reckon I could get away with a 14 in them now!

I am well out of control since Christmas[:(][:(][:I][:I]

Its really worrying as I seem to have no control, I still have some of my aloe vera detox that I used earlier in the year (if anyone remembers I spent most of that throwing up!!!) but desperate times call for desperate measures[:(]

Got to do something otherwise I won't be able to move soon[:I]

Get down the docs and see about a bypass!

I feel ok now Emma and can eat normal food without throwing up, and I'm now down by 3st 2lbs.

Jan[:0]

That would terrify me, i still think you were very brave to go through that - well done!

I will try it one last time, my exercise machines are making good clothes horses at the moment, but I will clear them off and get sweating and eating less.

i had a mcdonalds breakfast this morning as i wanted the free mug[:I][:I] and now I find they are a set of 3, so 2 mcd's breakfast's to go[:I]

I am a nightmare[:0]

FD - stay off the diet pills as I spent about 5 years addicted to them and speeding off my head every day. Couldn't sleep, couldn,t eat and was a right cow to everyone!! They cost a fortune and the ones I had were highly addictive and banned now, but I believe they are still available on the internet. I had to stop when I started to get heart palpitations and thought I was having a heart attack and my GP was horrified I was getting these from a 'diet doctor' (very dubious man who used to turn up at this church hall once every 2 weeks with a suitcase full of pill[:0][:0])

There is no quick fix, just hard work and determination. Even the surgery, as Jan is finding, is not a quick fix but needs determination and guts.

Diet pills are a definite no-no. I had Xenical prescribed for me twice - they worked, but had quite unpleasant side effects (you needed to be very close to a loo!).

Get that exercise bike going Emma!

I bought some pregnancy pants from Mothercare, they've got adjustable elastic in the waist! I'm gonna wear them forever, even when I'm not pregnant! They're fab and so comfy.[;)]

Not sure any diets work, have tried so many and lost 14 to 16lbs, but always put it back on again. I just like the wrong sorts of food. Used to be a 12 bottom and 14 top but now nearer a 16 bottom and 18 top.
Last two years spent most of our free time walking South West Coast Path. Did 760 miles total over 18mths mostly up and down. Unfortunately didn't lose any weight at all.
I find wearing trousers slightly too big makes me feel slim!!!!

You probably lost fat though debbie. All that walking would have built up muscle and that weighs more than fat.

I agree with Jan,Debbie..you may have lost fat!!,some years back[:0],I did quite a lot of walking, now far too lazy, but I really should start making the effort but I did find that although I still weighed the same,my clothes didn't feel so tight,so it did do some good!!...anyway,yippee!!managed to wear my size 14 suit today and trousers didn't rip when I sat down,[:I]..thankfully as could have been embarrasing when our Director came round visiting[:)]..jacket was a little tight when I buttoned it up but I just kept it loose so I could breathe a bit[:o)]...but,when we eventually get better weather again, I will definately start to make the effort in starting the walking/dieting and exercising again[:)]

so glad you didn't split your trousers dm [:D]

Debbie - I walk most nights and my weight hasn't really altered yet I've lost inches. Especially my legs - maybe you should measure yourself?
