I was aways offered it, and always turned it down. I get full pay if I am off sick so no point in having it.

Thats the point Kallis...I had PPI applied without consent. I have always had full sick pay entitlement in my employment but this was never asked in application for the card. Had the card since 1999. In my humble opinion missold and unnecessary....time will tell if i can be successful....but it wont be through the want of effort. I know of a case similar to mine over the same length of time where £11.5k was compensated against a balance of £13k.....what a result (MBNA). Mine is against a closing balance of £14.5k (Lloyds TSB)...so we shall see

That was totally wrong Phil. You should have not have had to pay anything.

Whilst we were always covered if off sick as we still got paid, it was more to do with unemployment, twice over the years we have had to claim for the payments to be covered as we were redundant. Hope you manage to be able to do this.

Make sure the claim goes in before the IVA has concluded - as the debts are legally written off once it comes to an end. And out of courtesy, you should inform your IP of your intention to make a claim.
