Forgot to say skippy. It is national sea rescue or something week at on Lyme Regis beach so there will be demonstrations of rescue helicopter, lifeboats etc etc. So we will be spending a day in Lyme Regis. Daughter loves watching seaside rescue so a bit of free entertainment - cant be bad.

Well we're in Lyme Regis - just about!

The apartment isn't quite what we thought it would be - some double glazing would be good as the road next to the bedroom window is busier than the M25 at night! It was so bad on Friday night we considered going home but decided to persevere.

To be honest (and I know I shouldn't say this as I'm lucky to be on holiday) I wish we hadn't come. Dave is in bed with a stinking cold and my uncle, who's like another dad to me has had a ECG and has got to have an angiogram as the doctors have found a problem. I'm sure he'll be ok, but I can't face the thought of anything happening to him, and I hate being miles away from him. He used to take me out when my dad couldn't when I was little and I love him to bits. He's the last one left of my 'three musketeers' - my dad who died 9 years ago, my uncle who died last year and him. They were all there for me in different ways when I was growing up.

Sorry to whinge, but I had to tell someone how I feel.

Thanks for listening xxx

I was wondering why you were posting whilst on holiday Skip. So sorry you are having a rough time, and that Dave is ill. But just think that you are having a rest from work, and that in a couple of days Dave will be feeling much better. Keep feeding him with hot toddies and he will be right as rain soon.

Are you there for one week or two?
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Skippy, sorry you are having a rough time, and hope your hubby is feeling better soon.

I hope your Uncle is ok. At least he is getting the treatment he needs now.

Ang, your neighbour sounds interesting!
