I'm really nervous about my creditors meeting on 12/11/12. I can only offer 16p to the pound and I'm worried it won't get accepted. I have faith in Payplan who I have chosen and I have Nick Payne as my IP.

My main creditor is Barclaycard who are using Grant Thornton IVA Watch, (they appear to be deciding against my Barclay loan, Yorkshire bank overdraft and my Northern Rock Loan) what is the likely hood of them accepting?

What would happen if my IVA wasn't accepted?

Hi Coleen - it is natural to feel worried and nervous before the creditors meeting. I don't think I slept the night before.

Nick will have put the best offer forward. Creditors will look at the evidence and accept the IVA if this is all you can afford to pay.

We offered 17p in the £. What will happen is if any creditors ask for a modification your IP will either email or ring you to discuss immediately. GT voted for Barclaycard and I believe Capital 1 for both of us. They asked for a modification on our smoking allowance which we were able to agree immediately so the IVA was approved.

Sometimes you will need time to consider the modification but I bet your IVA will be approved ok!

Please let us know how it went - Good Luck

You will be fine Coleen - your IP would not be putting this forward if they did not think it would be accepted.

Barclaycard voted for me. How do you know that they are going to be voting against you?

Nick is a brilliant IP and you are in very safe hands. Keep your faith in him, and he will see you on the home run. Best of luck and do let us know how you get on.

GT are very fair and sensible voters, and whilst they do have to abide by directions from their clients, as IPs themselves they absolutely understand what will work and what will not work.

Good luck for the 12th. Try to have a restful weekend and don't dwell on the meeting -- easy to say ... hard to do.

Hi
Dont worry as people will tell you Not easy to do but you are nearly there now They dont go through the setting up of the IVA if they are not pretty sure it will be accepted Its not a massive decision on their part just a few faxes and you get your phone call
If you dont get accepted you can come here and get my butt !!

you will be fine
