I'm sitting here waiting for the OR to ring me and I am absolutely terrified! I have no finger nails left, I feel sick and my stomach is churning. Please wish me and send positive thoughts my way!

Don't be - they are human beings at the end of the day. They get up and go to work just like us, and then they go home. They have job to do and on the whole do it fairly well. I am sure that you will be pleasantly suprised and relieved. Let us know how you get on.

All the feedback I have heard about ORs is positive. Try to relax. Remember that this is a positive step in addressing your debt problems.

All the best with everything.

Sending positive thoughts your way Skippy13!!

I know that it’s easier to say but try dwell on the positive steps that you have already made eg: 1. admitting that you had a debt problem, 2. taking action to solve the problem.

It takes courage; there are thousands of people who are continuing to bury their heads in the sand. Just think your not one of them anymore.

Hope this information is of use

Thanks everyone! Wel it's over and was nowhere near as bad as I expected! The OR was very human, and she informed me that I will be paying £115 per month for 36 months. This is so much better for me than the £459 I was paying into my IVA. I really feel as if I can make a new start now.

Good luck with your interview Coco x

Thanks Tracy, I'm definitely going to keep posting - I'd miss you all if I didn't! I'll also keep my blog updated in the hope that it can help someone else.

I opened an account with Think Banking today as well - they were my last resort, but at least I've got a bank account now!

Hi Skippy

Great news, really pleased for you.[:D]Now you can hopefully relax a little and enjoy life without those dreaded letters and calls,My husband and I get quite excited when we get letters cos we now dont dread the postman and enjoy walking to the postbox with the loan adds and credit card offers with return to sender written over them.
Hope you had a good week end I hope it was you that went away?
Anyway brilliant

I had a great weekend thanks Ang - yes it was me that went away. I'll have a bit of explaining to do to Dave's mum next time she goes - I was gardening and sawed down the wrong tree! I didn't realise but I was holding the dead one and sawing a different one - oops!

And the perfect end to the Easter weekend - MAN UTD 7 ROMA 1!!! Hope you enjoyed it as well Bear!

I'm so pleased for you - the ordeal is over and you know where you are for the next 3 years. Living these experiences with you has also taught me a lot of things I would not have usually come across - further evidence that everyone learns from the forum!
How did the OR work out the £115 - was this the surplus figure you had shown on your application booklet, or have they just taken a percentage? The funny thing is that your creditors will not see a penny of that money, it will all likely be asborbed in OR and collection costs.

Don't be a stranger!
