Sorry but I've got to share this with you as I'm so proud of my little Harrypuss! His foster parents sent me his vaccination card yesterday and although I'd been told his jabs were up to date it turned out that he'd only had the first one and therefore wasn't protected. We took him to the vets last night and he wasn't fazed at all. He was fine in the car and even though there was a yapping dog in the waiting room he just sat in his basket looking round.

When he went into the vets he had a once over and then had an injection and apparently (I was looking away - I don't like needles!) he didn't even flinch. He wasn't so relaxed when they microchipped him but even then he was a good boy.

I must admit I didn't realise how much the jabs would be - £42.50! Luckily there is an amnesty this month so I'll get the second one free and then it's only one a year. The microchip was another £28.50, but if it means we get him back it's worth it - I might have to delay the car service though!!!

Ahh poor Harry what a brave boy. I hope he is settling in well. I am sure he will with you and Dave loving him so much.
Shame you cant come tonight I was looking forward to seeing you but there will be another time. I am going to try for portsmouth, but I know hubby will insist on coming and the rain fare is £61 and with somwhere to stay on top I will have to check funds. We might drive though and that will save a bit but the car is a bit knackered and he worries about going too far in it. Anyway i am keeping that cherry b for you you will get it some time.

He's settled in really well and didn't even sulk yesterday evening when we got home!

It's a shame about tonight but we'll definitely be at Portsmouth - I hope you can make it. We're lucky in that we won't need somewhere to stay as (unless someone else is staying there!) we can stay at Dave's mum's cottage in Pagham, which is only half hour from Portsmouth. It'll give Dave a chance to do some of the repairs it needs after the storms!

Oh bless little Harry, he is all protected now[:)]

My dog had to have eye surgery when he was very young as eyelids were gowing inwards, when I went to pick him up he looked awful as head all shaved and stiches everywhere.
When they brought him out to me in the waiting room I burst into tears and said 'what have you done to my baby?' they had to take me into a room and calm me down with sugary tea before I could drive home!! Quite embarrasing in a waiting room full of people and out of all proportion as he was fine!![:I]

The boosters don't hurt at all and the microchip doesn't hurt them much at all, give him a few extra cat treats and he will be fine[:)]
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Emma x

Oh your poor baby! I'd be distraught if anything like that happened to Harry.

Animals are so much more resiliant than humans - I'm going for a tetanus injection in a couple of weeks (I didn't realise they only last 10 years - I was 14 when I had the last one!) and I'm terrified. I asked Dave to go with me but he won't - apparently I'm old enough to go by myself!
