Hiya robbie and welcome to the forum. It sounds as if you are considering bankruptcy, are you finding the IVA to demanding?
As far as I'm aware, you can inform your IP that you want to file for br at any time but I'm sure someone else will advise you better.
It's nice to be back......

You can file for your own bankruptcy at any time and as you have no assets that would be under threat, if you are struggling with the IVA it may be the better option.
Check the terms and conditions of your employement to see if there are any clauses regarding bankruptcy.

Hi Robbie

I believe the stats say that most people who go for an IVA would have been better off under BR, from a purely financial perspective.

If you are already in an IVA it may be more difficult to get a Court to make you BR now unless you can demonstrate you are unable to pay the IVA.

Also you appear to have a relatively high income with respect to your level of debt so it might help to provide some more details of your circumstances.

Best Regards, Simon

Hi Rob and welcome to the forum

Is there any particular reason why you are doubting your decision to enter an iva, or anything in particular that you are unhappy with?
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Only you can really decide whether you made a good or bad decision, and I often have clients at your stage of their IVA doubting whether they chose appropriately.

Often the sheer relief of having an IVA accepted, after months of struggling and creditor pressure, can make you a little blinkered about the options available and the implications of this into the future. If it is now time to take stock again, do not be afraid to admit that you made a bad decision, and if you feel that bankruptcy is a better option that route is always available to you. Is this likely to affect your employment at all?
