Just been conned again

I was contacted at lunchtime today by TLG finance. They said they had the perfect consolidation loan for me 18000 for 200/month which would have been perfect.

I logon and there is a whole site devoted to them as con artists. They have taken 500 from my current account already. They said there would be a small fee.

I am devestated. I hope i get some relief and sleep if i go with abacus dmp.

Oh dear oh dear, this is terrible. Contact trading standards asap and see what they say but I am afraid you are probably just one of many who will get caught out this way. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Why on earth would you pay someone £500 - and for what?? Tell them you want your money returned immediately and stick to plan A.

I think the fact they have already taken 500 is a sure sign that you wont be able to contact them and ask nicely for your money back!!!

WinTheRace this is terrible!

Ignore people who phone you up telling you they can do things for you. I would never recommend going with someone who cold calls you.

I hope you can get your money back.

Stick with Abacus - they are well respected.

Agree with plastic - ring your bank, cancel the card and tell them why you want to cancel, they may be able to help

I agree with the others - contact your bank and get the card stopped and let them know what happened, and then contact the police.

Abacus are a well respected company and will look after you so stick with them.

Good luck, and keep posting as we're all here for you xxx
